Mid-term Assessment of PROFIFA Project in Rwanda

AFR and CARE had entered into a partnership to build the capacity of 120,000 smallholder farmers organized into VSLAs on financial education, business and hands-on agronomic skills and link them to formal Financial Service Providers (FSPs). AFR wanted an Expert consultancy firm to conduct the Mid-term Assessment of the project.

M2i conducted the Mid-term assessment of the project which included the Demand side and Supply Side assessment. M2i conducted quanitative research and qualitative research to ascertain impact. M2i met various stakeholders including small-holder farmer beneficiaries, FSPs, implmenting partners, government agencies and regulators. The project was assessed from M4P perspctive and from the perspctive of project's Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Impact and Sustainability.
